Billy - My Pet Lamb by Jimmy Burke

Yesterday I heard the exciting news that I was going to have a new pet lamb!!! After I had brought him to my farm my dad and I went to get lamb food for him. When we went home my dad put the lamb food in a plastic bottle then  he got some hot water and put it in  a  ripped milk bottle. We then but the plastic bottle into it we had to wait a few minutes for it to heat up.  I fed him his bottle, you have to hold the bottle up or else he will choke. My dad feeds him every night and every morning and I feed him every day after school. Billy has a black head and a white body.

Christmas in St. Pats

This week we have been busy getting ready for Christmas. On Wednesday the two third classes went to the Sacred heart home to do some Carol singing. Afterwards we chatter to some of the ladies and gentleman who were there and we got some crisps and chocolate.
On Thursday Santa came to visit our school. He arrived by fire brigade and he visited all of the classrooms. After small break we went to Supermacs as a treat for Christmas. We could have ice cream or chips. On Friday we performed a Carol Service in our school. We also got to bring in our own games and so we had great fun. Happy Christmas Everyone.

Football Training

We have started football training at school on Tuesdays. Our coach is Neil from the Mitchell's Club. We are really enjoying it and we are learning loads of new skills.

Our day out the Linnehall Arts Centre

Last week we went to the Linnehall Art Centre and we made some origami shirts. We each made two shirts - one for an exhibition and the other to take home. First of all the teachers showed us some of the shirts that where made earlier. It was really fun to make. Some of us who had finished early got to make some paper boats, aeroplanes and hats too.

Cross Country

The cross country was a great success. Well done to all of the boys in 3rd class who took part over two days last week and congratulations to Charlie and Franklin who will represent our school in the County Competition next week.

Spiky visitor

Last week we welcomed a very sleepy and spiky hedgehog into our classroom. We had been learning about the hedgehog so it was good timing. As hedgehogs are nocturnal they tend to sleep during the day and so he slept while he was in our classroom.
